WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Boogie Bounce

Boogie Bounce is a 50 minute class, 35 minutes of bouncing, with 15 minutes of full body conditioning.

Put simply – bouncing on a mini trampoline is unlike regular trampolining; the aim isn’t to bounce high or perform gymnastic tricks, but to perform a series of small, controlled movements. Boogie Bounce is dancing with intervals of jumping, bouncing, frogging and stomping, to name but a few moves, performed to music and a set programme. The mat of the mini trampoline is used as a resistance tool which makes the whole programme two to three times more effective than a normal everyday aerobics class. Anyone and everyone can do this at their own pace whilst gaining the impressive health results that are normally associated with high impact aerobic classes, without even realising it!

Boogie Bounce uses High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T) techniques to maximise the most effective fat burning process in the cardio section, whilst using the pliable surface of the mat to perform a range of core stability exercises, thus engaging more of the deep core muscles. The programmes have been a hit since 1996 with countless success stories from regular attendees amazed at the ‘all over’ health and fitness results achieved.

Your 50 minute class is designed to promote a fun, party like atmosphere with inspiring music. Helen and Hannah, your Boogie Bounce Isle Of Wight instructors are fully qualified and understand the different fitness needs of individuals and want to encourage all shapes and sizes and all walks of life to our classes. We are highly motivational in helping individuals achieve their long term fitness goals.

There is a huge emphasis on the fun and social aspects as well as the amazing health benefits associated with Boogie Bounce. We understand that people are busy with everyday life and therefore need a 3-in-1 exercise programme which is quick, effective and enjoyable. We realise that human bodies were not meant to be pounded by hard core fitness programmes year after year with long suffering injuries as a result; at Boogie Bounce, we wanted to make everyone aware that you can embrace the amazing low impact element of bouncing whilst gaining the high impact results of other exercise regimes.

Fitness Pilates

This session is 50 minuets long.

Fitness Pilates blends the core principles of traditional Pilates with elements of functional fitness. The aim is to improve core strength, postural alignment, flexibility, and overall body tone, while also enhancing stamina and balance.

Warm-up - The class begins with a warm-up to mobilize the joints, increase blood flow, and engage the core muscles. This may include standing movements or mat-based mobility exercises to prepare the body.

Full body conditioning - A major focus is on building deep core strength, especially the abdominal muscles, pelvic floor, and lower back. We also focus on glutes and thighs, upper body strength and posture and alignment through back and shoulder exercises.

Flexibility and mobility -

Stretching and mobility work are integrated throughout the session.

Balance and coordination - Some exercises may challenge your stability and coordination to help strengthen smaller stabilizing muscles and improve overall control.

Cool down and relaxation - The class ends with gentle stretching and breathing exercises to promote relaxation, reduce tension, and bring the body back to a resting state
